What Is a Certificate of Analysis?
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document issued by an accredited third-party laboratory that independently verifies the contents of a specific product batch. For hemp and CBD products, a COA confirms the cannabinoid profile — CBD, CBG, CBN, and THC concentrations — alongside terpene content and contaminant screening for heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, and microbial pathogens.
VetsGrade COAs are issued by ISO-accredited third-party laboratories with no financial relationship to VetsGrade. Every COA reflects the exact batch of product you received — not a representative sample, not a category average, not a marketing document. The batch number on your product label is the key that unlocks the specific lab report for your specific lot.
Where to Find Your Batch Identification Number
Your BIN is printed directly on your product packaging — unique to your specific production lot.
Relief+ Solventless Tincture
BIN printed on the side of the bottle label and on outer box. Begins with RLF followed by a numeric sequence.
Example: RLF1234567
Bosco's Recipe CBD Treats
BIN printed on the back of the bag. Begins with BT followed by a numeric sequence.
Example: BT12345678
Why Third-Party Testing — Not Self-Testing
Manufacturer self-testing has an inherent conflict of interest. VetsGrade uses ISO-accredited independent laboratories to eliminate it entirely.
🧪 Cannabinoid Potency
Confirms actual CBD, CBG, CBN, and THC concentrations per batch. Verifies label claims match lab results for every lot released.
⚗️ Residual Solvents
Solventless rosin uses no chemical solvents. The residual solvents panel on every VetsGrade COA shows non-detected (ND) across all categories.
🔬 Heavy Metals & Pesticides
Hemp is a bioaccumulator. Every batch is screened for lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury, and a full pesticide panel before release.
🦠 Microbial Pathogens
Total yeast, mold, aerobic bacteria, E. coli, and Salmonella screening confirms microbiological safety for every batch before it reaches your pet.
